Let's talk about AI photographs for a moment.
Don't get me wrong. AI is fun. It's creative, it's fascinating, and it's amazing what we can do with a photograph these days. We can create beautiful images, perfect settings, flawless skin and versions of ourselves that look like something out of a fairytale.
But here's something worth thinking about…
**It's not real. And one day, the real will mean more to you than the perfect ever could.**
Life moves so quickly. Children grow up. Parents get older. Loved ones change. Moments that feel ordinary today become the very memories we'd give anything to relive tomorrow.
And somewhere in all those perfectly generated photographs, I hope we don't forget to keep the real ones, too.
The photograph where her hair was a mess, but her laughter filled the room.
That cheeky little smile she gave you when she knew she'd done something wrong.
The way she squished her nose when she laughed.
The missing tooth. The messy face. The wrinkles around his eyes when he smiled. The imperfect little details that made someone unmistakably *them*.
Those are the things you don't think much about when they're happening. You don't realise how precious they are because you assume there will always be another chance to capture them.
But time doesn't wait.
One day, you might find yourself scrolling through old photographs, desperately trying to remember exactly how someone looked, how they smiled, or what made their face light up. And in that moment, you won't care about the perfect lighting, the flawless skin or the beautiful AI background.
You'll want *them*.
Exactly as they were.
Not the polished version. Not the digitally perfected version. Not the version an algorithm imagined.

Because AI can create a beautiful picture, but it cannot recreate the feeling of being there. But please, don't let the fake replace the real while you're busy posting it for the world to see.
Keep taking the ordinary photographs. The unfiltered ones. The silly ones. The ones you think aren't good enough to post. Keep the videos of their voices, their laughter and their little habits. Capture life as it happens, not just as you wish it looked.
Because one day, those ordinary moments might become your most extraordinary treasures.
And when that day comes, you won't wish you had more perfect photographs.
