Took a few photo's of the musicians at an Open Mic night last week at Triggerfish Brewing in Somerset West. As a fellow musician I enjoy photographing other musicians. The one artist missing here is my own band, I can't play drums and take photo's at the same time. Haha.

The reason I took photography seriously, 18 years ago when my preemie daughter was born there was rarely a moment I was around her without a camera in hand documenting thousands of the kind of photos only a parent can appreciate. This was the time I discovered an interest and love of photography, and I finally found a way in which I could see and understand the world in a way that made sense to me.
In this time I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon entry level kit, and so the passion grew.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing the executive team at a construction company, creating a series of professional corporate portraits for their website and company profiles.

The goal was clean, consistent, and approachable images that reflect both professionalism and personality — with both standing and seated variations as requested, we had some fun using the office ladies to test my portable studio lighting set-up.
