It was time for a celebration, some birthday cake and a little family time ...

and made their way down to Durban to celebrate papa’s birthday and what better way to mark the occasion than with some beautiful family memories.

We had prearranged a shoot at the beautiful Botanic Gardens. As soon as everything was ready, we got started with the man of the moment. He turned out to be incredibly confident and comfortable in front of the camera. ( Might just be something that might just come from years of experience )

It was an absolute privileged to capture these memories for a truly beautiful family.

Keeping a straight face (or even holding the camera steady) becomes almost impossible during our outdoor shoots. Between the endless laughter and the witty comments flying around every session is filled with genuine fun while we capture the images we need.

Sometimes the best photographs come from moments that are just as enjoyable behind the camera as they are in front of it.

Seven years ago, when I began my photography journey, I knew absolutely nothing about women's makeup or hairstyling. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working alongside some incredibly talented makeup artists who have taught me to truly appreciate the artistry behind their work.

Most recently, I had the pleasure of working with during a studio shoot. After she completed Niharika's look, I was genuinely speechless... and if you've ever worked with me, you'll know that's almost impossible! 😄
