I worked on a film set for a couple days, this past week. Our hours were from 16:30pm-3:30am, which is pretty hilarious, because I usually become useless between 8-9pm (just ask our Bible study group).

It was a fun challenge and it’s always inspiring collaborating with talented creatives.

This photo has absolutely nothing to do with this post. I have signed an NDA so I couldn’t use a photo from the aforementioned production.

What a full weekend!

I got to film Friday through to Sunday with the Italian stallion,

I also got to work with the on Sunday which was a treat.

blew our minds. That place is an Eden with a sea view.

Shout out to Sam from

This man is unbelievably hard working, he is talented, intuitive, respectful, bilingual, he’s an excellent drone pilot and he is incredibly strong.

These are all characteristics that I completely relied on this week during my two full day shoots. I hired Sam as extra hands on set and he ended up handling all the drone work and got a 7 hour workout while we shot an entire range of weights in the .fitness warehouse.

I was shattered after filming all day in the warehouse yesterday. If it wasn’t for Sam’s assistance throughout the day I probably wouldn’t have handled the drive home.

All this to say that Sam is a professional photographer and videographer, so if you are needing either of the above give him a shout.

Big thanks to .fitness and for the opportunities to shoot in your warehouse and factory. We always love working with you and your teams.

A raw clip of in training.

We are still waiting for a thunder storm so that I can capture in action as he photographs the lightning. Until then, this mini documentary will remain on ice.

This was shot on my Helios 58mm vintage lens, which is completely manual. From focus, to stabilisation, to aperture. I love the organic aesthetic that the out of focus moments give off…well that’s at least what I tell my clients;)

Nature. Adventure. What more could you ask for?

Congratulations to Neil and Theone on bolting and opening your shiny (well actually moderately dusty) new routes! Your drive is inspiring.

To everyone watching this, yes we do climb with ropes. I tell you this because it’s the one question I’ve been asked the most since taking up climbing 14 years ago. Not too sure of the logical progression of thought. Perhaps there’s a look of crazy in my eyes that I’m somehow missing;)
