A night bursting with colour, laughter and joy ✨

From the moment the music started, it was game on — dancing, playful traditions, and nonstop laughter filling every corner. Hands adorned, hearts full, and a celebration that felt as vibrant as it looked.

This Mehndi wasn’t just beautiful… it was alive. Despite being taken from their 2 degree temps in the UK and being dropped in the middle of a Durban heatwave, everyone showed up to celebrate Rineshia and Jason's love in the most joyful, colourful way possible.

Imagine this… your own home transformed into the most beautiful, intimate wedding space. Soft draping, thoughtful details, and the people who mean the most to you gathered close.

Love filling every corner of the room.

From the moment Kara walked in with that beaming smile, the whole atmosphere shifted. And when Andre saw her and the tears started flowing… well, that was it. You could feel what this day meant before a single word was even spoken.

There was something incredibly special about this wedding. Maybe it was the familiarity of home. Maybe it was the way everyone present truly mattered to them. But more than anything, it was the depth of love between these two — the kind that shows up in quiet glances, shaky breaths, and the way their hands kept finding each other throughout the day.

It was intimate, emotional, and deeply beautiful. A reminder that sometimes the most meaningful celebrations are the simplest ones — surrounded by the people who know your story best.

Just an average Tuesday hike to a waterfall with my camera.

Pretended I wasn’t holding the biggest secret. Until a bunch of hikers flooded the waterfall. I couldn't wait to share the secret with them. They were AS excited as I was when we saw Swan and Kelli arrive.

Cue me, pretending to take photos of the plants but watching his every move like a hawk waiting for my signal.

He told her to face the water while he took a pic... Then he dropped to one knee.
Right there in the water, with the falls crashing behind them and her completely in awe as she turned around to see him on one knee.

And yes — the hikers behind me filmed it too. Video is in my stories if you missed it last week 🤍

Welcome to Part Three — the actual "opskop".
The moment everyone had been waiting for… and wow, did they deliver.

This was also the part of the night where I officially became a guest with a camera.

From the second the music hit, the dance floor turned into its own wild universe. Shoes off. Drinks up. Hair down. People dancing like they trained for this moment. Wes and Bubbles right in the centre of it all — laughing, spinning, pulling everyone they love into the madness.

It was sweaty, loud, unfiltered and absolutely perfect.
The kind of celebration that reminds you why people love weddings in the first place.
Joy. Connection. Community. And a dance floor that could’ve easily gone until sunrise.

The Struwigs didn’t just have a wedding.
They threw an opskop for the books.

Part Two of the Struwig Opskop Wedding — and trust me, the day only got better from here.

The boys kicked things off with ci**rs and pure mischief, exactly the way you’d expect Wes and his crew to do it. Meanwhile the girls were in matching pyjamas, doing the opposite: soft, calm, glowing… the perfect pre-wedding bubble.

Then came one of my favourite moments — her first look with her dad. The kind that stops everyone in their tracks.

And because this wedding refuses to be ordinary… Wes didn’t just “walk in.”
Nope. He arrived on his groomsmen’s shoulders like the king of his own opskop.

Part Three is coming — because this day just kept giving.
