In search of the Half-collared Kingfisher
After two unsuccessful attempts it was third time lucky in my search to find this cute little kingfisher. This secretive bird has its nest in the river bank of the Palmiet Nature Reserve, and I'd been meaning to go look for her (this one is the female) for quite a while. When I eventually found the time it took three trips before I found her. They say third time is the charm and it was worth the wait.
