Various MelVee Media Crew frames of Melusi and Ryan during a 10 days of of filming the new EPWP Programme launch in KZN by the Ministrer of Public Works. We filmed from 28 April until 8 May 2026. Filming the New "Building On Infrastructure programme in 6 sites in Peitermaritzburg, kwaDukuza (Stanger), Nongoma, Nquthu. We applied to Video4Change framework to these baseline videos to establish current gaps, challenges and what Public Works infrastructure interventions can do to transform households, individuals and communities.

Friday Night Reflection | Entering the Sabbath - by Melusi Ndhlalambi Ncube

Today was not an ordinary day.

There are moments in life when you are reminded that certain opportunities don’t come often. Meeting and working with a government minister is one of those rare moments. There simply aren’t enough ministers to go around every storyteller, every platform, every voice.

So when the opportunity came to engage with Dean Macpherson, I recognised it for what it was — a moment of significance.

But what stood out even more was something deeper…

Timeliness. Honour. Excellence.

Often, we rush to appointments, only to wait. But today, time was honoured. He arrived present, prepared, and precise — even answering many of our questions before they were asked. What we thought would require time was delivered with clarity and intention.

We travelled 2 hours up and down …
for just 10 minutes of recording.

And yet — it was worth it.

Because it reminded me:

👉 It is no longer about the length of time… but the weight of the message.
👉 Not every moment needs to be long to be meaningful.
👉 Value is not measured in minutes, but in impact.

As the sun sets and we step into the Sabbath rest, I carry this lesson with me:

May we be people who honour time.
May we speak with purpose.
May our presence carry value.
