it was a hot day and Svenja and Patrick made it into a really hot wedding with all the intense emotions, funny cocktails and wild partying that come with it. i saw and documented it all - the deepest love, the warmest friendships, and everybody having an amazing time, me included.

no place like home

i always advise my couples to consider a post-wedding shoot. not for the upsell. for peace of mind. instead of, or in addition to, rushing to steal precious minutes on the wedding day when everyone is trying to have the best time of their lives and you should be doing the same, we can totally take our time on another day and get that creative vibe going in a much more relaxed and fun way.

Franziska and Adrian are dear friends whose wedding day i couldn't photograph but i told them i'm obsessing about getting on their territory for an after-wedding shoot and having those epic backdrops add to the magic that their love already is. so we made it happen and we couldn't be happier with the results.

my gratitude is endless.

a dream within a dream

i am no richard avedon but some of these images have marked me as deep as his. the quiet, soft dynamics, the tranquility, the sublimated wildness, the purity and beauty of the moment - all of this will stay as it is forever. because.

i first dove into the depths of africa in 2013 and have been dreaming to return ever since. this year my dream came true, only to find itself interlocked among other dreams, swept by the wild winds, meandering through the vast landscapes and never wanting to leave.

i'll be back. because.

no place like home

the scenery, the memories, the love that make a mere somewhere feel like home. because home is not a building or a place. home is how your heart beats.

no, they don't own that castle. neither do they have anything to do with the cat. this is just part of what found us on our tour through Adrian's homeland for his and Franziska's after-wedding photoshoot.

no place like home

to photograph Franziska and Adrian for their after-wedding shoot - what a delight! revisiting the wedding venue in the countryside where Adrian grew up brought back so many sweet memories and while grand sweeping vistas, imposing castles and cute romantic cottages are every wedding photographer's dream come true, what mattered in the end were those quiet, intimate moments that the couple shared with me.

i left with my memory cards full of beautiful images and my heart even fuller with warmth. thank you for letting me into something so precious!
