I like photos that can tell a thousand stories. Is this beautiful lion hiding from something? Or escaping the heat on ground level? Maybe he chose this tree as a vantage point from which to observe the area... guess we’ll never really know.

Anyway, I am extremely happy to had the chance to have this magnificent composition in my frame. Big cats are always special to photograph.

Camouflage mode on!

Squirrels can move really fast, so once you have one motionless in your frame, go for it!

Although squirrels are tree dwelling animals, they spend a lot of time foraging on the ground.

Hiding into the blues with this adorable Cape Fur Seal.

This semi-aquatic mammal is truly native to the South Africa mainland. They inhabit the coastal regions, mostly living on rocky islands.

You definitely have a great chance to see one of them if you visit Cape Town as their population is estimated to be around 2 million!

A throwback photo to my Cape Town trip where I had the chance to visit the wonderful “Boulders Beach”.

A famous viewing point where one can admire these beautiful aquatic birds known as African Penguins.

They were classified as an endangered species back in 1982 because there were only 2 breeding pairs remaining. The good news is that incredible conservation efforts have grown the Boulders colony to more than 3,000 birds recently!

Stripes from the branches! I had the chance to portrait this amazing creature some time ago from the reserve. It’s thrilling to see such an iconic living being in my frame.

It is estimated that almost 3,900 tigers live in the wild now. While their overall numbers are increasing, wild tigers remains an endangered species. Much more must be done to help them fight poaching and habitat loss.

In the eyes of the wild... A beautiful long-tailed macaque hiding in the branches, observing my every move. He must be the one who warns the group in case of incoming danger. But don’t worry my friend, I only capture images.

Bees play a vital role in our ecosystem by pollinating plants. Yet their numbers are rapidly decreasing due to climate change and other factors.

Without bees, humans won’t have much to eat. ... They are crucial to our existence and we must work harder to protect and preserve them.

Because of the wonderful color palette the blue-tailed day gecko offers, it’s a fascinating subject to have in your frame.
Blue-tailed day geckos have a green background, with two brown to red stripes flanking their bodies. Also, on their back, runs a series of colored spots. But the most intense color is the bright blue color usually extending from their mid body to hindlimbs and sometimes extending down their back. This blue coloration is also often found on their face.

Conservation experts warn that cheetah populations continue to collapse in the wild, mostly because of poaching. As today marks the international Cheetah day, we have the responsibility to both celebrate and help the world’s fastest mammal to win this race against extinction. Everyone can help, no matter where you are -
Happy international Cheetah day!

A black swan measures between 110 and 142 centimetres in length. Its wing span is between 1.6 and 2 metres. The neck is relatively the longest neck among the swans and curved in an "S"-shape. When swimming, they often hold their necks straight and carry their feathers raised in an aggressive display.

Red dot spotted in the wild! A little Cardinal Fody somehow found the perfect nature-made swing!
As this bird is classified by BirdLife International as being endangered, it’s nice to see more of them now swinging around!

Because of their huge bodies, strong horns and thick, armour-like skin, rhinos have no natural predators. Nevertheless, these beautiful beasts get frightened easily!

When they feel threatened, they’re instinct is to charge directly at whatever has spooked them – whether it be another animal or a harmless object!
