OnePhotography by John de Jager

OnePhotography by John de Jager Unique and exclusive photographic safaris I, John de Jager, am the owner of OnePhotography and will be your host. This is my story.

I grew up spending time in reserves across South Africa and Namibia, and a deep passion for wildlife, nature and conservation was born. My passion lead me to qualify as a field guide in 2006 from where I moved on to work in various reserves across the country. I worked in the Sabi Sands, the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape. I love sharing my passion for conservation with anyone who will listen a

nd my guests often became my friends as we journeyed through the wilderness of the reserves. It was by chance at the first game reserve I worked on that I stumbled on my love for photography. I started with a Pentax K1000 film camera and just snapped up a few moments to share with friends and family back home. The love soon became an obsession and I was hooked. I found that photography gave me the ability to hold onto those special sightings I was privileged to witness. Even now, when I look through my images I remember those moments. The moments where the wildlife graced me with its presence and brought smiles, laughter and even tears. OnePhotography comes from a passion for conservation. My goal is to allow clients to take home, not only great images, but the knowledge of what it all means and how important our natural heritage truly is.
