Born and bred in the UK, Stephen Yallop
(Steve for short) has called many countries home - from the British Isles to South Africa, Australia, Denmark and for the past nine years, Singapore. What started as a hobby and a way to capture the essence of the people and places he encountered on his journey, became a passion. I was invited by Carol Lakay of Stellenbosch Magazine to do an Autumn Fashion shoot, using various locations we had lots of fun.
We used clothes from Sulinda Muller's two shops in Ryneveld Plaza, Stellenbosch, called Malaki and Second Chances.
The two beautiful models are Kay Dee Adams and Joanita Ragette.

Next came the Hindu Wedding......
So colourful and vibrant, the bride and groom had at least 4 changes of outfits, there was dancing and fireworks in the street while the groom was riding a horse!
Great time was had by everybody.

My daughter, Sarah, turned 12 recently. You would guess I would duck when talk of a girls sleep-over was discussed. I tried and failed. Face masks, hairdo's, make-up, nails painted, food, sloppy movies, more food, chocolate fountain, mattresses all over the living room floor, more movies........and all the while there happened to be a photo booth set up in a corner, they had to have evidence of their great day/night party.
Secretly, I would never have missed it in a million years, just don't tell my daughter.....
