From my ongoing series: ‘Streetwise’. Walking my neighbour, Boston, Bellville. I was not planning on going for a walk on this particular morning, as the sun was out and the light mediocre to my standards. 😂 But then, out of nowhere this cloud of mist came rolling in. So I grabbed camera and went walking. This light only lasted for 20 minutes. It was a beautiful sight!

: This is a project I did back in 2018 when I did a Documentary course under the guidance of at . After I read a book called The Third Wave by Alvin Toffler(written back in 1981 already!).

The project is/was my reaction to this book and also about life happening. And still is happening today!

This project (ongoing project) is fuelled by a scepticism about the human race and this powerful tide sweeping the world by it’s force, called the Technological/Information Revolution we are trying to digest, resist or engage with.

My escapism was fulfilled by the ocean’s primal call, her womb, the nature of our true nature which became a metaphor for escaping the Third Wave.

With this new found solitude came another challenge: to approach total strangers in order to understand the reason behind our mutual behaviour/escapism and to re-kindle the compassion we as a race has lost towards each other and the ocean.

It seems we are all seekers of more than this.
