Alana Vaughan Photography - Catching the Light

Alana Vaughan Photography - Catching the Light A Photography Project - 52 Frames I am a Zimbabwean, South African from Durban, who lives in Perth, Western Australia.

At the moment I am building my portfolio of Landscape and Macro images, after recently branching out into these genres. Landscape photography, and all the things that go with it (besides the actual landscapes - the flowers, bugs, solitude, beauty, peace), has become a huge part of my life, at a perfect time................ I am getting more out of it than I ever thought I would!

wn and operate Alana Stewart Photography, a small and successful Child Portraiture business, specialising in contemporary portraits of children, shot on location, not in a studio.

(I shot this image purely to evoke emotion in the viewer - a note to my special peeps, before they ask me if everything is ok :) lol )

Week 5 ~ Faceless Portrait

I wasn't quite sure how I was going to tackle this theme, but as luck would have it, I was at a photography workshop on the beach on Monday, and this image fell into place :) Happy with it

A friend and I headed for the hills this morning to have a look at the photo exhibition in Kalamunda. What a great day! We discovered this beautiful vintage shop called Vintage Spinster, and the lovely lady working there, gave me the okay to take some photos :)) These are some of my favourites :)

This shot was taken at the beach during workshop on Light Painting! Interesting effect :)

Any photographer would be hard pressed to deny that practicing self portraits makes you a better photographer. A self-portrait not only shares how an artist sees themselves but also how they see the vast world around them. It is their own unique story told through the very medium they know best. - everythingbloom.com
