My approach isn't about working through a shot list or staging moments for the camera. It's about documenting your wedding day as it naturally unfolds I am a born and bred Capetonian, animal lover, plant hoarder, wine drinker and a photographer. When I am not photographing weddings I like to spend my time taking my dogs for walks in the park, hiking, drinking wine, playing card games and collectin
g unusual plants. I am also a volunteer wild land firefighter and spend a lot of time during the hot season, on the fire line! I take too many photographs of my cats and I am obsessed with dinosaurs and podcasts. My photographic journey started in 2006 in high school, and after many years of studying, assisting and second shooting with other photographers, I photographed my first wedding in 2014 and have been madly in love with photographing them ever since. I left my full time job in 2016 and am incredibly lucky to be photographing weddings full time since then. I currently have over 150 weddings under my belt and I still fall madly in love with documenting them every time I photograph one. Having the opportunity to photograph a wedding, is something so so special and something so incredible. Not only is each wedding COMPLETELY unique, I love the whirlwind of emotions and the little moments going on in-between everything. MY FAVOURITE KIND OF MOMENTS ARE THE REAL ONES! Those spontaneous and organic moments are important to me, and that is why I like to take a non-intrusive approach to photographing your wedding day. However, should there be a spot of perfect light that will add an extra level of magic to your photographs, I may ask you to go stand there for some beautiful portrait or couple photographs. My work is about so much more than creating a series of pinterest perfect images. Its about the real-ness of your wedding day. It's about the moments of laughter, and the moments when the emotions become too much. Moments of love, silliness and those moments of complete and utter euphoria. The missed moments and the love shared between two families. It is real, raw and 100% honest.
