Whether I'm photographing a conference, a laboratory, an executive portrait or a community initiative, the camera is only one part of the process.

The real challenge is understanding what matters most to the client and then capturing images that communicate that story clearly and authentically.

That's why no two assignments are ever quite the same. Every organisation has a different story. My job is to help tell it!

People see the camera.
What they don't see are the decades that went into knowing how to use it. Over the years, I've invested not only in professional cameras and lenses, but in the experience that allows me to walk into a conference, laboratory, show or boardroom and instinctively know where the story is.
Behind every assignment are years of learning, refining techniques, upgrading equipment, editing thousands of images and continually adapting to new technology. The camera is only one part of the process.
The real value comes from experience knowing when to anticipate a moment, where to stand, how to work unobtrusively, and how to deliver images that tell the story your organisation wants to share. That's what clients are really investing in.

Some of the most valuable conversations at a conference happen away from the stage.

They happen between sessions, at exhibition stands and over a cup of coffee, where ideas are exchanged, partnerships begin and business relationships are built.

Capturing these moments is just as important as photographing the keynote speakers. They tell the complete story of an event and showcase the value it creates for delegates, exhibitors and sponsors alike.

One of the things I enjoy most about conference photography is documenting not only what was presented, but also the interactions that make an event memorable.
