Sometimes you just need to pack a suit case and fly half around the world to see one of your favourite bands, trust me, it’s worth every cent. Rancid at Jera On Air 2022. Waited so freakin long to see these guys in action and they didn’t disappoint. One of my top 10 shows. Got a drumstick and a signed poster. This is just phone photies.

’ve been super fortunate to have seen and met some amazing bands over the years, but one of the greatest guys I’ve ever met was Jesse from Eagles Of Death Metal . Super sweet, funny, and a guy who really knows how to party. This was the first One Night in Cape Town show and honestly one of the best line-ups ever.

This one was wild, wet and fckn loud!!! Every time I Die brought all the energy to Assembly in 2013. Damn it was so much fun. Can’t remember all the opening bands but Enmity opened for ETID and they were tight as always, time for a reunion boyos!

I only became a fan of Jungle a few years after this show but really wish I knew more of their songs. Don’t remember much of their set but what I can remember is that they were great live. Hopefully I get another opportunity to see them live in action again.

There was a time we got spoiled with international bands, got to see some of my favourite bands, like Asking Alexandria ripping Klein Libertas apart. The guys from Ramfest/Ramtouring was on fire. And the best part was when was enjoying the Jagermeister too much, he spilled on what bands are coming down for Ramfest, this night he told me he booked Biffy for Ramfest. Who remembers this night?

One film photo that came out quite fine and a few blurry ones, but it’s better than nothing. Jack White live at the Apollo Theatre in London. It was magical seeing Jack live and I’m super grateful I could tick this off my bucket list. And if you were wondering, yes, I did shed a few tears.

That one time my tjommie Willem Stemmet and I flew half way around our silly globe with 6 bottles of Olof and 2 films cameras to watch Ozzy Osbourne and a few other bands in croissant city. This was my first international festival and the best part of was meeting my 2 new besties, Nardo Theron and Robyn Lee Theron .
This was one crazy experience.

Oh and also met a Joburg skollie called SJ Naude
