The BEST way to get the most out of your beach family photos.

Getting a family together for a photoshoot is not an easy task!
There are loads of factors to consider. Here are some tips for your family when preparing for your next photoshoot.

🌞 Happy kids, happy session! Make sure the kids have eaten, they have had a nap (if they are small), they have extra clothing in case they get wet / cold. There is nothing worse than trying to convince your kiddo to smile when they are not happy.

🌞 Make sure you all look the part. There is no need to go out spending thousands on new clothing for a 40 minute shoot, however you do need to put some effort into what you wear. Make sure your colours match or flow. No caps and glasses please, dads!

🌞 Lastly - mindset. Of course your feet will get wet - its the beach! Come to the session with a mindset that you are going to get wet. You live once and if I'm your photographer, chances are I'm going to encourage us to get creative and perhaps dip our big toe, or body, in the water. It's worth the shot :)

Family. It is an amazing thing, don't ever take that for granted. I love doing family sessions so much because it allows me to encapsulate moments that will last a lifetime.

Family portraits are one of my absolute favorite things to do because seeing their happiness in the photos makes me happy, too.
