If we were your wedding photographers, this is what we’d want you to know (and it’s not what you think):
1. Your wedding photos will reflect how present you were.
Slowing down, breathing and truly experiencing the day will always lead to the most meaningful photos. (Don’t worry, we’ve been doing this a LOOOONG time. We can detect nerves a mile away, and we know how to help you ground yourself if you’re feeling a bit jittery)
2. Your timeline matters more than you think.
A relaxed timeline means real moments. Adding buffers in between key events will help you feel relaxed. (We’ll help you plan it!)
3. The best photos usually happen in the unplanned moments.
A hug from grandma, the squeeze of a hand, and the rush of emotions before you walk down the aisle. We capture all of it.
4. Trust your photographer and let go of perfection.
The most beautiful images aren’t posed and perfect. They’re full of feeling, of messy emotion and unplanned realness. We don’t follow a formula when shooting a wedding, because your love story is not a script that can be copied and pasted. We document it as it unfolds. All the you-ness.
5. Golden hour is worth planning for.
45-60 minutes of magical sunset light, and the perfect excuse to sneak away and just be present with each other on this whirlwind of a day. It's worth gold. This is also where timeline planning is super important, and we’ll totally help you make this happen.
6. Choose a photographer whose work makes you feel something.
The photos (and video) is all you get to keep (besides your partner, hopefully!). The photos will be the only evidence left that you felt all these things, lived all these moments, had these gorgeous event with all your loved ones in one place. Make sure you love your photographer’s work, and that you will love working with them on the day.
7. Your wedding day is not a photoshoot.
Choose someone who knows how to document it without interfering or bustling you around all the time, so that the story of you can unfold naturally.
