Today, on Women’s Day, we honour a phenomenal woman whose legacy continues to live on.
Grace Constable-Davies was a woman with a vision.
For many years, from 2012, we had the privilege of working alongside Grace and being part of the team behind her concerts. Through Women In Praise, she created a platform for gospel artists, jazz artists and musicians ... particularly emerging artists who were still looking for their opportunity to be seen, heard and given a place on a bigger stage.
Grace saw potential in people.
She opened doors for singers and musicians who had never performed on major stages, giving them an opportunity to share their gifts with an audience. Many of those artists went on to perform on bigger stages, appear on television and establish themselves within the music industry.
It is a beautiful thing to look back today and see how many lives and careers were touched by the opportunities she created.
Our own journey with Grace was a special one. Shantal was privileged to help bring her event concepts to life, from stage layouts and foyer décor to coordinating VIP guests. Radcliffe and Courtney captured the concerts through photography, while we were also entrusted with creating professional headshots for many of the artists performing at her shows, knowing that these images would help them promote themselves and take the next step in their careers.
We are grateful to have been part of that journey.
Grace was more than a client. She was a connector, a visionary and a woman who understood the importance of creating opportunities for others.
Today, we honour her not only for what she achieved, but for the doors she opened for others.
Thank you, Grace, for allowing us to be part of your team and to contribute in some small way to the legacy you were building.
Your work continues through the artists you believed in, the opportunities you created and the people you connected along the way.
May we carry forward the example you left us, to see potential in others, to create opportunities where we can and to pay it forward in our own spaces.
We will always remember you.
Happy Women’s Day, Grace.
Your legacy lives on.
