Entering Miss Ballito is about so much more than a crown or a title. It is a journey of personal growth, confidence, compassion and empowerment.

Young women are given the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones, discover their self worth and learn valuable life skills that will benefit them for years to come. Through public speaking, modelling, teamwork and community outreach, contestants grow into confident, caring and inspiring young leaders.

What makes this pageant truly special is its heart for the community. The girls are encouraged to give back, support charitable initiatives and understand the importance of kindness, humility and making a positive difference in the lives of others. Lifelong friendships are formed, self belief blossoms and memories are created that last forever.

Miss Ballito is not just a competition. It is an experience that helps shape strong, confident young women with purpose, grace and compassion.

The bonus for us is that we have had the honour to photograph and be a part of almost every one of these magnificent events

Happy Easter to the lovely people of the Dolphin Coast 💕

I got up this morning to a beautiful sight, and the Springbok livery sealed a wonderful start to this time of gratitude.

A near full moon setting over the morning sky, a quiet reminder of the wonder above us. With mankind once again setting its sights on the moon after nearly 50 years through the Artemis program, it feels like a moment worth pausing for.

This image is a composite picture of the setting moon and a FlySafair aircraft in its Springbok livery, photographed moments apart.

A blend of faith, wonder, and the beauty of flight.

After almost a decade of memories, smiles, and so many special moments, the time has come to say goodbye to Myrtle.

She’s been far more than just a car. She’s been part of the heart and soul behind Barry Wray Bowditch Photography, a familiar sight at shoots, and a wonderful talking point that brought so many people together.

This decision certainly wasn’t an easy one, and it comes with a heavy heart. Sometimes life places you in a position where tough choices have to be made, and this was one of them.

The silver lining is that Myrtle has gone to someone who truly loves Beetles and has cherished them for years, which brings a great deal of comfort.

Still, she leaves a big space behind, and she will be deeply missed.

Thank you, Myrtle, for being such a special part of the journey 🤍
