What a great mission! Very difficult and very long but it all ended very well. Managed to bring 3 lions who were in need of relocation from Kyiv back to Limpopo, South Africa. They will be integrated into new prides to form family groups, living and roaming in very large enclosures with natural bush! Anthony recently lead a great team to assist a lion in Zimbabwe with a badly swollen eye which was causing much pain and discomfort.
On inspection it was determined that eye was cancerous and needed to be removed.

After an hour long procedure the vet successfully removed the eye without any issues.

The lion took a good few hours to fully wake up from his big operation and was understandably grumpy for a day or so. He has now completely forgiven his very loving and devoted caregivers at the wildlife sanctuary and is now a much happier lion! He is feeling much better and is clearly much happier.

Well done to all the team members. It was well worth the very long journey. A great big thanks to Noelle, Allan and family as well as everyone at An Eye For The Wild who work selflessly to care for many different animals at the sanctuary who need special care and attention!

Lion Move Ukraine!
We are done!. Moved 4 lions from the Ukraine to Poznan Zoo in the last few days.
It turned into a very difficult mission (more than I planned for) with many, many changes and obstacles getting in the way. In the end 4 lions, two very special dogs and three cats were brought out. The trip took a total of 40 hours from loading the animals in Borispol and to get them to Poznan Zoo in Poland. The whole team that worked on this worked like true champions to get it done … .official
I decided to only post about it after it was completed and safe. The intention was never to create hype and interest and with all the changes and obstacles that we faced it became necessary to just get it done without extra social media pressure etc. Team:
