Funny story. I had my mature male, Pilot out yesterday evening exploring. He was super active, more so than usual. He usually likes to walk up on my face and glasses then, trek across the arms of my glasses to the top of my head. I normally can feel him step on to me when I get him out of my hair but I didn't last night. I'm looking and feeling all over the place and all around on the front and back my night gown. Nowhere to be found. I look on my couch and still no spider. I don't panic when I can't see him because he loves his momma and won't go far from me at all. I then decide to take my nightgown off because, he must be on there, I just can't see him, right? Nope. I give it a gentle shake over the couch so, if he falls out, he will fall on something soft. Still no sign of him. I go to put my nightgown back on and, there he is sitting still on the top of my hand. He apparently was there the entire time hiding in plain sight 😂 Sneaky little bas💩 🤣

This is my friend’s female Rose Hair tarantula. The one she’s chewing is my mature male Rose Hair.

Yep…
After pairing him with my female, I thought, why not give him another chance with my friend’s older female? After all, he didn’t have much time left.

She decided to have him as her dinner.

I was told she had refused food for several months, which isn’t uncommon for Rose Hairs. I guess she was just saving space for a big meal, huh?

This happened a few years ago. The male actually succeeded in impregnating my female, and to this day, I still have their babies.

My perfect girl unexpectedly came out tonight. She did take a cricket after I put her back but something seems off. I really hope this isn’t her last photo shoot. I know she’s old and who knows how long I have with her. Ugh, I don’t want to lose her now. Hopefully everything is ok with her. Just look at how precious and perfect. I adore this big girl!
