I have a few spots left for glitter sessions on May 3rd! These are the MOST fun (and aren't just for kids 😉) but only happen once a year. Best for ages 3+. DM for info and booking link. Session take place at my photo studio in West Lawrence.

We love a unique wedding around here and Becca and Nathan's October wedding definitely took the cake when it came to creativity. From crystal adorned floral arrangements to taxidermied bugs to vintage home decor - the day was uniquely theirs. And that's how it should be. If you meet the love of your life at a bug identification contest in high school (and crush them...girls rule) you should have bugs at your wedding! Trends are fun but if they don't speak to you and your story, why include them?

I get asked a lot if I pose couples and the short answer is yes. I will always take a few formal portrait shots where you’re looking at the camera and smiling. The long answer? During your session you can expect to be gently directed and prompted for the majority of our time in addition to smiling for a few formal portraits. But what does that ACTUALLY look like?

It looks like me telling you embarrassing s**t about myself to get you to laugh. Movie references that you won’t get if you’re not a 90’s kid. Silly games, bad jokes, real movement and laughter. This is all meant to be fun after all. We’re making memories, not saving lives around here.

One of the things I love the most about photographing elopements are the quiet mornings spent getting ready together. Sharing coffee. Writing out your vows. Helping each other with the final touches on your outfits.

When you strip away all the noise of a traditional wedding, what you're left with is the beauty of simplicity. Your love story takes front stage. The focus is on each other - nothing more, nothing less. Just you two, being exactly who you are meant to be in a place you love, choosing one another. Could it get any more romantic than that?!
