TEAM IJAW CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF WARRI UNITY GAMES 2026

WARRI, DELTA STATE — Team Ijaw have emerged champions of the 2026 Warri Unity Games, following a historic sporting event that brought together different ethnic communities in Warri in a celebration of unity, friendship and peaceful coexistence.
The grand finale of the tournament was held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, as Team Ijaw and Team Urhobo battled for the championship title.
At the end of the keenly contested final, Team Ijaw were crowned champions, bringing the tournament to a memorable conclusion.
The victory sparked celebrations among Team Ijaw supporters, players and dignitaries who gathered to witness the conclusion of the competition.
Reports from the organisers indicated that Team Ijaw received a ₦10 million prize for finishing first, while Team Urhobo received ₦5 million for second place and Team Itsekiri ₦3 million for third place.
