Had to step away from beading the designs on Qifrey so I could work on Himmel. Just the wig and cape clasp left. And thank goodness too… Fanime is next week! 😱

Happy Wednesday! I have some amazing Howl photos taken by at Kumori on to share. I’m so happy with the entire set that I had a tough time deciding which to share first. I chose this one because… well details. The rings I made don’t show up in a lot of photos, so I’m very thankful he took the time to take a photo that showcased them. Hope you look forward to more!

Now that Joker and Howl are complete, it’s time to think about my next project. I’m really excited for this one—been a huge Sherlock fan for most of my life. I love that his costume has so many fun little details to play with. Progress pictures to come soon, I hope!

Little behind on posting this but here’s some of the WIP photos for my Joker. I waited way too long to start working on him and ended up pulling a number of all-nighters to try and have him finished by Fanime. Most of these are me doing a number of tests to get the piping right on the coat. I swear I must have done fifteen different things trying to get the right look. Finally settled on a bias tape wrapped in a blue black cotton. The vest was done using the same method but with the same base fabric. Lots of hours pinning and trying not to stab myself while sewing. One of the funnest projects was playing with different pocket square folds to get the exact look I wanted.
