Reminiscing... this image in Sedona, was just as things were shutting down because of Covid - March 2020. My sister and I just made it home and schools were closed the next week. However, I don't look at this image and think Covid... I look at this image and think how I would process it now. I work diligently to get images to come out of the box, near perfect. What is the perfect image? To whom?
As artists, we can look at our work, this afternoon, tomorrow, years and decades from now and rework a piece. Can we be at peace? Is it in our nature to mess with stuff?
I can imagine that Ansel Adams would process his negatives and come up with a different take each time. Like a sunrise - each different and perfect for this moment.
So, I'll just leave this image here, and keep on searching for the Unicorn.
