🌊 Planet Reef: A Whole New World Beneath the Waves 🌍
Captured through a circular fisheye lens, from Bohol, Philippines. The image transforms a vibrant coral reef into what looks like an extraterrestrial underwater planet. 🪸🐠

The reef teems with life, color, and texture — a reminder of the intricate ecosystems hidden just below the ocean’s surface. The image invites us to see marine biodiversity from a cosmic perspective.

HAPPY WORLD OCEANS DAY! 🐠
In 2016, I was honored to be the winner of the United Nations World Oceans Day Photography Competition. The image was taken in Raja Ampat, Indonesia. It is a mangrove canopy with three juvenile batfish, titled, “Safehouse.”

~ GUNUNG API VOLCANO ~
Mermaid Liveaboards - Asia's Premier Liveaboard Fleet

Gunning Api is located in a very remote region of the Banda Sea. The volcano last erupted in 1988. The waters around the volcano are home to beautiful fast-growing table corals, turtles, and a large concentration of sea snakes. Hammerhead shark sighting is fairly common.
