Yesterday was a day for the smallest. The Double-eyed Fig-Parrot is Australia's smallest parrot. ThIs subspecies is one of three. It is the Mcleay's Fig-Parrot and at 13cm in size, it far from easy to find.

At a maximum length of 13cm, the Little Kingfisher is our smallest.  Very happy to finally see one and photograph him.

A couple of shots of one of the many varieties of Possum in the wet tropical area of Queensland. The colour of the Green Ringtail Possum is derived from a fine banding of black,yellow, and white on its hairs.

Although not as glitzy as the male, this female Victoria's riflebird is, nevertheless, quite an attractive bird.
