GAVYN | Class of 2027

Lots of cloud cover dictated our session with Gavyn, which meant my storm-chaser/meteorologist skills had to make another appearance. 😂🌥️ Honestly, that has become more prevalent this year than ever—and I'm starting to think all this weather watching is actually paying off!

With a little tweaking to our start time, we managed to avoid the quickly descending sun and the potential rain. 🙌🏻

But the best part of this session wasn't the weather—it was Gavyn.

He's easy-going, has a smile that comes naturally, and even after facing some setbacks as he approached his senior year, he continues to show up. He continues to smile. He continues to dream.

He's worked through the challenges, and he's holding onto hope that this spring will bring the chance to get back on the field—healed, stronger, and ready to do what he loves.

Sometimes senior year doesn't look exactly like you imagined it would. But there's something pretty special about watching someone keep moving forward anyway. 💙

ADDI | Class of 2027

Senior pictures don’t capture just one version of you. They can hold all of it—the soft and sentimental, the strong and determined, the playful, the confident, and the parts that maybe don’t always get the spotlight.

We did that with Addi!

We got to capture that gentle, sentimental side of her…

While also knowing this girl is a fierce competitor who absolutely knows how to bring the fire when it counts.

And that contrast? I loved it.

With Senior pics, we get to tell the whole story—the soft and sentimental, the strong and determined, the silly, the confident, the thoughtful…all the little pieces that make you you.

And somewhere between the blankie, the smiles, and that competitive streak, we got to capture a pretty beautiful picture of who Addi is right now. 🤍📸

MIA | Class of 2027

She had a vision for all.the.things. And I mean ALL of them. 😂✨ It was such a joy to watch her ideas come to life and bring her vision to fruition.

That’s one of my favorite things about senior photography—creating a session that feels like them. The places, the outfits, the little details, the interests, the personality, the things that tell the story of who they are right now.

Because senior pictures aren’t just about pretty pictures. They’re about capturing a chapter. A season of life that is full of personality, dreams, friendships, favorite things, and a whole lot of becoming.

And Mia? She’s a take-the-bull-by-the-horns kind of girl—moving forward with gusto, confidence, and a smile. Her session was filled with ideas, personality, and those little pieces of her story that made these images uniquely Mia.

And honestly? That personality made photographing her every bit as fun as I knew it would be.

Mia, you are a JOY. 🤍

ETHAN | Class of 2027
There was just ONE tiny window of opportunity for photography sessions this weekend. 😅

If it wasn't misting rain, it was falling hard. Just when we'd think it was going to blow over, the clouds would roll in dark again. There was talk of changing locations, chasing behind the rain, shifting times…you name it, we've thought of it.

And that's without even considering the absolutely loaded calendars of seniors. School, work, extracurriculars, sports, homework, studying for exams…trying to make all the stars align these days feels like it requires a small miracle. 😂

Thankfully, we were given one for Ethan. 🙌🏼

And Ethan? He was the definition of go with the flow. No complaints, no drama, no fuss. Just willing to roll with whatever we needed to do to make it happen. And if I'm being honest, I have a feeling he was especially willing because he knew how much it meant to his mom. ❤️

And his mom? She's a gem, too. The kind of mom who makes you thankful you get to be part of these moments in a family's life.

So we found that little window, made it happen, and got to celebrate and showcase Ethan—even if it was a rather swift event! Sometimes you just have to embrace the crazy, roll with it, and be thankful when the stars finally align.

So thankful we got our moment with Ethan! 🎓📸

CARLY | Class of 2027

Apparently, we’re still not done storm chasing. 😂

The forecasts continue to keep us on our toes, plans still require flexibility, and a good “roll with it” attitude has officially become part of the senior-session experience around here.

Carly was no exception.

While I’ll admit that the constant weather watching can be frustrating, I’m trying to find the positives in all of the storm chasing and weather-app stalking. And at this point, I think the best I can come up with is that my lawn has never looked this good in the middle of September. 😂🌿

Thankfully, Carly was a total gem.

She handled the muggy heat with ease, rolled with the changes, and most importantly, allowed her true self to come through. And that is always my favorite part of a senior session, not just photographing what someone looks like, but getting little glimpses of who they are in this particular season of life.

The weather can change. Plans can change. Locations can change.

But when someone shows up as themselves, that’s something worth capturing.

Carly, you were an absolute gem. 🤍

ALEX | Class of 2027

I have twin nephews. My daughter just married a twin. My new son-in-law's dad is a twin. And his sister is currently pregnant with twins.

And while we're talking about twins...the best man speech, given by my son-in-law's twin brother, was probably one of my favorite wedding speeches EVER. 😊

So, all this to say, I feel like I've gained a little clout when it comes to interacting with twins here of late. 😂

Alex is a twin (and you'll be seeing his brother's post shortly!), and I loved every minute of our time together. If you've been following along lately, you know that the weather has been keeping me on my toes. So attempting a twin senior session with a family mini session add-on, all while watching impending storms? Well, let's just say it had the potential to bring double the trouble! 🌧️😂

But WE. MADE. IT.

We hit every outfit. Every location. Added in their sweet pup, Lexi. And somehow, we even had a few moments to spare before the skies opened up.

I'd call that a successful race against the weather...times two. 😉

ANDREW | Class of 2027

Andrew’s session happened at the same time as his twin brother Alex’s session earlier today, and honestly, watching the two of them together was one of my favorite parts of the whole evening.

Both guys were just awesome. They took everything in stride, made each other laugh, had each other’s backs, and reminded me once again how thankful I am for family.

Watching them interact made me smile because I couldn’t help but think about my own childhood with my brother. We aren’t twins, but we grew up experiencing life side by side through some challenging family dynamics, and somehow came out the other side as best friends.

Don’t get me wrong…we fought like cats and dogs. 😂 But somewhere along the way, I suppose we matured enough to realize that we really were for each other more often than not.

That’s what I love about watching Alex and Andrew. They don’t take each other for granted. They cheer each other on, even when their interests and hobbies take them in completely different directions. They know each other, they laugh together, and there’s just this quiet sense that they’ve got each other’s backs.

And maybe that’s one of the coolest things about siblings.

They’re the people who knew you before you really knew yourself. The ones who can push every single one of your buttons 😂…and still be some of the people most firmly in your corner.

TRISTON | Class of 2027

I know senior sessions aren’t necessarily the “dream come true” for most senior guys. 😂 It’s not like they’ve been planning their wardrobe for months or dreaming about the perfect locations. More often than not, they’re there because Mom asked them to be—and they’re happy to oblige whatever she has envisioned.

So when we started the morning with fog and had to completely flip our original plan on its head, we hit the ground running. We raced off after our pivot, doing our best to be as efficient as possible with the cloud cover, the light, and our locations.

But what impressed me most about Triston wasn’t how quickly we moved—it was how easily he changed course.

No fluster. No irritation. No “wait…what are we doing now?” 😂 Just a quiet confidence and an ability to roll with whatever came next.

And I think that says something about a person.

Triston seems comfortable enough in his own skin that he doesn’t need everything to go according to plan to be just fine. He can adjust, take it as it comes, and keep moving forward without getting ruffled.

That kind of quiet confidence is something you can’t pose for in a senior session. You just have to capture it when it shows up.

And thankfully, we did. 🤍

TONY | Class of 2027

I thought we were DONE with the storm-chasing days of August.

Apparently, the weather did not get that memo. 😂

For the past few sessions, I’ve either been racing to beat the rain, watching the radar like it’s my second job, or trying to outsmart a wall of fog. And Tony’s session? Well… let’s just say we were back in storm-chasing mode.

Thankfully, Tony was ready early, and his parents were absolute rock stars—literally jumping in the car at a moment’s notice and helping rearrange the plan so we could make quick changes and keep moving.

And move we did!

We managed to get through his session quickly without making it feel rushed. We actually got to enjoy ourselves, laugh a little, explore a little, and capture a whole lot of Tony before a giant, billowing thunderstorm decided it was time to shut down the rest of the day. ⛈️

I’d call that a win.

Tony is genuine, kind, thoughtful, and just plain easy to be around. And once again, I found myself thinking how incredibly fortunate I am to photograph so many amazing young men.

Also… I'm still considering adding “professional meteorologist” to my photography résumé. 😂📸

AIDEN | Class of 2027

The heat wave decided to make a comeback this week, and for a minute, we considered postponing Aiden’s session. But as is so often the case with seniors, calendars are already packed to the brim, and when an opportunity presents itself, sometimes you just have to make it work. ☀️

And Aiden? Not one complaint.

Not about the heat.
Not about the suit.
Not even about the jacket. 😂

Just smiles, genuine kindness, and the sweetest consideration for his momma.

You all know I don’t have sons (at least not until this Sunday, when I officially gain one as my eldest gets married! 🥹), so I have to admit—it’s a special treat for me to watch senior guys interact with their moms.

And Aiden is the kind of young man you can’t help but notice. He’s genuine. He’s sincere. He’s thoughtful. And that smile? Completely contagious.

What a joy it was to spend a little time documenting this chapter of his story—and an even greater joy to see the young man he’s becoming. 🤍

I have a feeling his momma has a lot to be proud of.
