ATTIE CREEK FALLS ~ CARDWELL

Attie Creek Falls is a seasonal waterfall located along the Cardwell Forest Drive in Girringun National Park near the coastal town of Cardwell.

This was always on my to shoot list, and I finally made it there.

The pool at the bottom is popular for swimming.

We had the entire area to ourselves, which was fantastic.

CARDWELL SPA POOLS ~ CARDWELL

The Cardwell Spa Pools are a stunning, naturally-fed swimming hole in Far North Queensland, famous for its milky-blue water.

The water colour is caused by unique mineral and plant interactions.

Depending on the day and sun location in the sky and how overcast it is, the pools can vary from a very light milky blue, through to a vivid turquoise colour.

The water is quite clear despite its colour. The creek is seasonal, with our wet season just finished there is plenty of water still flowing.

SAUNDERS BEACH ~ TOWNSVILLE

Sean and I decided that we would head out tonight to try and capture sunset with the drone and camera.

We headed out to Saunders Beach which is located 23km north of Townsville. It is one of my favourite beaches to photograph.

Once we arrived, I noticed that the scenery has changed a lot, and the rocks that I was hoping to be exposed, were completely buried under sand.

We watched a storm cell creep closer towards us from the south, slowly engulfing Townsville and Magnetic Island in rain.

This is the storm front as it got closer to Saunders Beach.

SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE~ Sydney, New South Wales

A trip away with my husband to Sydney, allowed me to get a few photos captured off my bucket list that I had hoped to shoot.

I had been keeping a close eye on my favourite site to track cloud cover a few days before the trip. Only 1 of the 5 days we were away, the cloud cover looked promising for sunset.

We selected what we thought would be the best location to shoot from.

Settings for those interested: ISO 100. f5. 24-70mm@29mm. 1/200 second exposure.

KERSHAW FALLS ~ ROCKHAMPTON QLD

Kershaw Falls are located along side the main road in Rockhampton.

Very easy to access. Unfortunately the mozzies and midgees were in full biting mode when we visited just before sunset.

WATEGOS BEACH ~ BRYON BAY NSW

A favourite beach with the locals and tourists alike in Byron Bay to spend the day relaxing and surfing. The water is an amazing aqua / teal colour and crystal clear.

Wategos Beach is also a very popular place where you can see the local bottlenose dolphins use it for showing off their surfing skills on the incoming waves. We were lucky to watch a pod of dolphins play for quite a while in the waves.

This is one of the many stairs to access the beach, but unfortunately due to erosion from Tropical Cyclone Alfred, most of the sand had been eroded underneath all the stairs and left behind steep drop downs to the rocks and sand. Which meant I couldn't get down onto the Beach for more photo opportunities.

INSKIP POINT ~ QUEENSLAND

Today we headed down to Inskip Point to explore the area and to see how much damage Cyclone Alfred had done.

There were alot of trees knocked down and all laying in the water along the beaches.

We headed further down towards where the barge is loaded to head over to K'gari (Fraser Island).

A good storm front was rolling in, providing some dramatic skies.

CAPE BYRON LIGHTHOUSE - BYRON BAY NSW

Tonight the sky looked promising for a nice sunset at the Lighthouse.

There was alot of whispy clouds which I hoped would light up nicely.

We weren't disappointed at all.
