He is an engineer by trade, working in solar, manufacturing and medical fields. Adam has shown his leadership and initiative by holding board positions as the founding President of the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs (ACCE) and the Director of the Unionville Ratepayers Association (URA). His passion for the community and future generations has lead him to volunteer at the YMCA, on co

mmittees in the YCDSB as well as for The Heart and Stroke Foundation. Since 2009, he has been a popular public affairs critic for Fairchild TV and radio. He also writes a weekly column “Understanding the Root Cause” in the “Today Commercial News” newspaper. EFFECTIVE REPRESENTATIVE
Recognizing that Unionville’s traditional values and beautiful environment have not been represented, respected and protected, he has chosen to represent Unionville and workout solutions together with his fellow residence. Adam plans on managing growth and improve transportation within the ward. He hopes to uphold values for our children, welcome new residence by introducing them to Unionville’s heritage and maintain it for future generations. Effective mass transit paired with effective, reliable and convenient service. Creation of an integrated smartphone application for public transit to increase convenience and connect riders to timely and reliable service. Local neighborhood shuttle buses for more convenient end-to-end transit, which also increase ridership opportunities and reduce rush hour automobile traffic at stations and need for parking. Public transit planning paired to more accurate ridership demand. Creation of Express GO lines to Downtown Castle Frank and to Pearson Airport.
2. Balance growth through sustainable and healthy practices. Take advantage of new development capital to build out and connect current and future transportation networks for new and existing residential neighborhoods and create a holistic transportation system. Balancing development and healthy living. For example, create by-laws to guide cell tower growth, regulations for clean construction practices such as washing construction trucks before entering public roads. Limit increasing road infrastructure demand by new developments through by-laws and smarter public transit.
3. Embrace Unionville’s values and multiculturalism through cultural exchange. Organize small neighborhood cultural exchange workshops to integrate new immigrants and preserve Unionville’s heritage. Pairing with already established residences of Unionville to educate, share and exchange their unique stories, language and history and learn about Unionville’s heritage together.
