An afternoon like this feels so big on the heart. I loved spending the afternoon with my sister's family. Watching her mom pour herself into loving her family is the most inspiring reminder that your babies (and grandbabies) are the most important part of life. ❤️

To my beautiful clients:

As I transition to UMich this fall and move my focus to working full-time in the field I’ve chosen, I’ve made the difficult decision to make this my last calendar year in business.

Beginning January of 2027 Jessica Scalf Photography and Wilde Honey Bo***ir Co will no longer be available for bookings.

The past 9 years have given me the adventure of a lifetime. I’m eternally grateful for your loyalty, the connections I’ve been able to make, and the intimate moments you’ve allowed me to capture. I hope someday to have room to include photography back into my life, but for now, the business I’ve love for so long deserves more than I can give.

While I transition to marketing for my final year, I will have references for other photographers that I love and have known for years, and I hope that you will consider reaching out to them for your 2027 photos, events, and creative projects.

Please feel free to reach out to get on the books for my final season. I plan to make room in my calendar to see as many families, women and seniors as I possibly can.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me! I can’t wait to make this the most epic last year ever! 🖤✨

Hey, Hi, Hello! ✋🏼

It's busy season here and I realized it's been a while since I've been present here. If you don't know me yet, I'm Jess! I'm the creative that's back here posting (occasionally) and shooting (constantly).

If you've been wondering why you haven't seen me, it's because I decided last year to head back to school. ✏ And starting next fall I'll be taking another little step back because YA GIRL GOT INTO UofM! 💙💛

SO what does that mean for my beautiful clients?
✨I'm still going to be here! I'm not going anywhere! But I will be lightening my workload a bit and only taking on a set number of clients per month.
✨Turnover times will stay the same (2-4 weeks)
✨I won't take as many last-minute bookings. I'm not sure how that will look yet but I will keep you updated as I have info on my schedule!
✨I need your help tagging, reviewing, sending people my way! Referrals help keep my business thriving year after year!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who has stuck around, who reaches out, who books year after year. I can't thank you guys enough for making this little dream a reality and trusting me with your memories. 🥰

It's true what they say, you know. The days are long but the years are short.

This morning I took Senior portraits for my very own baby and my mama heart is absolutely in shambles. The thought of her going away to college in a year, starting her life, growing up. I'm incredibly proud of her, the heart she has, her determination to be a good person, and drive to make a life for herself. Her strength is enviable and she's going to do incredible things. I'm so lucky to be her mama. 🥺
