👀 Look at the difference between these two images! The whole feeling changes when you simply add a layer between the horse & rider and the camera -- in this case, I shoved my camera high into a tree and shot through the leaves ( 😂).
When a client can follow directions easily and quickly, and their horse has solid ground manners, it allows me to push my creativity to the next level!
This is Anabelle and her OTTB, Deli, who were wonderful models during a private photography mentorship I was teaching. The student wanted to focus on learning how to create a solid posing plan for photoshoots, and how to push those poses to create a more intimate photo, by utilizing the landscape as layers. This is a frequent request from students, and a topic I really enjoy teaching. It gets my own creative wheels turning, and showing a student a whole new view point on every day moments is incredibly fulfilling. 💕
The beauty is there, we just have to climb trees, get stuck in fences, lay in wet dirt, or hide in stalls to see it. (If you know ... you know. 😂 Photoshoots with me are always entertaining!)
