Halo Digital Media & The Anam Custom Maps Project
We recently just wrapped a project we're proud of: Hand-drawn custom resort maps for The Anam Cam Ranh and The Anam Mui Ne. While much of our hospitality work is photography and video, our in-house design team also does graphic design for luxury hotels and resorts, and this project let them shine.
The Anam resorts have a distinct look and feel, rooted in Vietnam's Indochine period. They wanted unique, beautiful maps that could truly encapsulate the atmosphere and look and feel of their properties. They needed to be hand-drawn and luxurious while being recognisable as from the Indochine period.
The process started with site surveys using drone and ground photography of both properties. From there, our artists hand-drew every building, path, and pool to create maps that work as wayfinding tools for guests and as keepsakes they can take home. Each of the resorts were different in terms of size and layout and so required a unique approach to each one and many hours of illustration and design to make them perfect.
We worked closely with The Anam's marketing and commercial teams to make sure each map captured the character of its property. Alongside, we also designed a new keycard holder for the resorts to store the maps in and hand them out at check-in. We're really happy with how they turned out!
