Passport photos of Malcolm and Mary Dalton, taken in 1970, the year they moved into Manor Farm. Malcolm would have been 32 and Mary 28, at the time they had no idea of the rich history this property held, they were simply excited to have a dairy farm of their own.

For the reader, the main character of this book is the property, but for me, it’s the home created by these two people.

The second image shows their wedding rings. After my Grandmothers passing I spent a significant amount of time clearing out the house, during this time I was drawn towards specific items that held memories. Throughout the book, you’ll see these objects pop up, some of them have an obvious connection, and some leave you wondering.

Before moving to Australia I spent a year documenting my family home after the sudden passing of my grandmother. My book ‘Manor Farm’ explores the rich history and heartfelt stories of those who lived there.
