MỘT NGÀY CƯỚI KHÔNG CHỈ CÓ CÔ DÂU VÀ CHÚ RỂ
Sau nhiều năm cầm máy, tôi nhận ra một điều: Một bộ ảnh cưới trọn vẹn không phải là bộ ảnh có thật nhiều chân dung đẹp.
Mà là bộ ảnh khi nhìn lại, người ta có thể cảm nhận được toàn bộ tinh thần của ngày hôm đó:
Từ lúc cô dâu bắt đầu chuẩn bị.
Từ khoảnh khắc chú rể đứng chờ người mình yêu.
Từ ánh mắt của ba mẹ khi nhìn con bước vào lễ đường.
Từ những cái ôm rất vội, những giọt nước mắt không báo trước, những tiếng cười của bạn bè, cho đến lúc cả căn phòng thật sự sống trong bữa tiệc ấy.
Với Jacob, chụp một ngày cưới full không phải là đi theo timeline và bấm máy cho đủ sự kiện. Điều quan trọng hơn là cảm xúc nào đang diễn ra, ai đang kết nối với ai, và không khí của ngày hôm đó đang mang màu sắc gì.
Tôi luôn tin rằng, một ngày cưới đẹp không chỉ nằm ở cô dâu chú rể. Nó nằm ở gia đình, ở bạn bè, ở những người đã có mặt, ở bầu không khí, và ở những chi tiết nhỏ mà có thể chính hai bạn hôm đó cũng không kịp nhìn thấy:
Một cái nắm tay của mẹ.
Một ánh mắt của ba.
Một người bạn đứng phía sau lau nước mắt.
Một khoảnh khắc cả bàn tiệc cùng cười lớn.
Một cái tựa đầu rất nhẹ sau một ngày dài.
Những điều đó không ai dàn dựng được. Và chính những điều đó mới làm cho bộ ảnh cưới có giá trị lâu dài.
Vì sau cùng, ảnh cưới không chỉ để chứng minh hôm đó mọi thứ đã đẹp. Nó còn để nhiều năm sau, khi nhìn lại, hai bạn có thể nhớ ngày hôm đó mình đã yêu nhau như thế nào, gia đình đã ở bên mình ra sao, bạn bè đã vui vì mình thế nào, và mình đã thật sự sống trong ngày cưới ấy.

A WEDDING DAY IS MORE THAN JUST THE BRIDE AND GROOM
After years behind the lens, I have come to realize one thing: A truly complete wedding album isn't just one filled with beautiful portraits.
Rather, it is an album that, when looked back upon, allows you to feel the entire spirit of that day:
From the moment the bride starts getting ready.
From the moment the groom waits for the love of his life.
From the parents' eyes as they watch their child walk down the aisle.
From the rushed embraces, the unannounced tears, and the laughter of friends, to the moment the whole room truly comes alive in celebration.
To Jacob, photographing a full wedding day isn't about strictly following a timeline and snapping away just to cover events. What matters more is the emotion unfolding, who is connecting with whom, and the true color of the day's atmosphere.
I have always believed that a beautiful wedding isn't just about the bride and groom. It’s about family. It's about friends. It's about everyone present, the atmosphere, and the little details that you yourselves might not even have the time to notice on that day:
A mother's gentle hold of a hand.
A father's lingering gaze.
A friend standing in the background wiping away a tear.
A moment when an entire table bursts into laughter.
A soft resting of the head after a long day.
None of these things can be staged. And it is exactly these unscripted moments that give a wedding album its lasting value.
Ultimately, wedding photos aren't just to prove that everything looked beautiful that day. They are there so that, many years from now when you look back, you can remember how deeply you loved each other, how your family stood by you, how happy your friends were for you, and how you truly lived in that wedding day.
