I remember growing up my favourite encyclopaedia was called "People and Places", capturing stories about how people lived their lives from many different countries. I didn't get to travel much growing up, and my first trip out of India was at the age of 21. Over the past decade, easily the most defining aspect of my life has been exposure to travelling- seeing life breathe in so many colours and forms across the world, but often with the same spirit in laughter and tears. Today I added some more pictures to the photo wall at home. This wall now has pictures spanning across five continents and 16 countries. Of course each one is special for the fun times associated, but also to each one I harbour a sense of gratitude, for the quiet learning that came with it.

Some glimpses from a weekend in Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City. The largest city in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh a fascinating melange of the old and the new. Reminding me of India in many aspects, the city stood out cause of its crazy motorbike traffic and also the warmth of the people. We only got a short weekend in the city, it was a fab introduction to Vietnam

Xian is the ancient capital of China and the starting point of the silk route. We went to Xian primarily to see the famous Terracota Warriors, a set of sculptures of a giant army of warriors made of terracota dating back to 3rd century BC, however came back surprised with all the light and life that the city offers. Here is a small glimpse!

We've been dormant for far too long. With the promise of getting more active in the next few weeks, I am sharing a click from a recent visit to Vietnam. Housing mangrove forests, buddhist temples, floating markets, and a vast variety of animal and plant species, the Mekong Delta is fascinating.

In this picture we have a fisherwoman just leaving for daily work from her house on one of the islands on the Delta, Stilt Houses like the ones here are common in the islands.
