Tắc Sậy Parish Church, located in Giá Rai, Bạc Liêu (now part of Cà Mau), Vietnam, is one of the most famous pilgrimage centers of the Vietnamese Catholic Church. It is also the place where Father Francis Trương Bửu Diệp, originally from Cồn Phước parish, Chợ Mới, An Giang, suffered martyrdom to protect the faith and his parishioners.

He is very famous in Vietnam, not only among Catholics but also among non-Catholics, for his holiness. He has performed many miracles for countless generations of Vietnamese people, especially non-Catholics. I remember that almost all the food carts where I live, regardless of whether the owner is Catholic or not, display a picture of Father Diệp.

At his resting place in this parish, a pilgrimage center has been built so that people from all over can come to visit. Many people from all over the country, including overseas Vietnamese, come here to ask for blessings and give thanks to him. Especially, non-believers received so much grace from Him, even more of them visit Him than the faithful, so they offer incense to show their reverence as in their own religions.

On tomorrow July 2nd, the Vatican will celebrate a beatification ceremony for Father Diệp, presided over by Cardinal Antonio Tagle. May God bless us through the intercession of Mother Mary, Saint Joseph, and all saints, especially the prayers of Blessed Father Francis Trương Bửu Diệp.
