Despite the the current situation, I was lucky and really grateful that I was able to make this trip RIGHT before everything went onto lock-down mode.
This was my first and hopefully not the last trip to Vietnam where I got to experience the characters behind each corner of their streets.
There wasn't really an objective for this photo album. I spent a lot of time walking around random spots and exploring hidden corners where I'd find and feel what made Vietnam special.
Behind these characters are untold stories and I had tried to define them with my own words through the lens of my camera, but of course, at the end of the day - the idea of photography is for you to define your own meaning through your own perspective.
The spirit of Vietnam to me was hard work.
And I hope I had captured that through my photography and did it justice. The people of Vietnam went through a very difficult time, but they are doing their best to make their city better.
What might seem like a laid-back city at first was a front with it's people on their own daily hustle.
Being honest, this album is actually my favorite across all the different cities and countries I've visited thus far. I'd love to visit other cities of Vietnam to learn more after the situation has become better.
Thank you for reading!
