Look and look again… often times we are scared to experiment with circles in walls….but these opening are quite lovely… surprising and framing views as you climb up the stairs.. and of course brick adds to the character… grounding everything and bringing you close to Earth… though I have stayed in Lums many times, each time I find interesting elements of Architecture to capture..

All Architecture needs to come alive is light and for it to play on its form…….I Took this photograph in one of the academic blocks in Lums,Lahore designed by the late architect Habib Fida Ali. This campus is one of my favourites in Pakistan (after NCA Lahore of course 😉)

What cannot be expressed with words can be done so by the language of flowers. What do you think about Gladiolus or ‘sword lily’ or Sosan (Urdu)?You will find most bouquets in Islamabad consist of these flowers. Is it because they express faithfulness and moral integrity 😊 besides being pretty the practical side of it is that it is available all year around and Is not difficult to cultivate, apparently.
I wish though we were more Experimental with our flower arrangements and maybe used more wild flowers. Now those are cool bouquets!
