I don't mind coming back to shoot the same spot here in Brisbane.

I love this spot as it provides an accessible, non-obstructive view of what I consider my favourite perspective of the Brisbane city skyline.

Tonight, I got to test out my upgraded (newly acquired - today) Tilt shift lens.

This version 2, the successor to my 10 year old Canon TS-E 24mm 3.5 Tilt shift lens.

It purchased 2nd hand from a seller on Ebay for a bargain price of $1200. The lens would be $3300 new. The only flaw on it is that i has a dent on the lens, whitening on the focus ring and some paint scruff. - A bargain for only 1/3 of the original price.

I'm hoping to get a fruitful and adventurous life with this upgraded lens as I did with my previous one.

The previous lens is on the marketplace hoping to find an new owner.

It has been an upgrade that I have been putting off for more than 5 years.

Finally decided to bite the bullet and taken the plunge.

Its the spontaneous moment that makes the photograph.

This photograph was taken on the train street in Hanoi Vietnam. Here we have a husband receiving a haircut from his wife. They just live a stone throw away from the rail line.

This photograph just speaks the care-free, do as I will and so long as I'm not interrupting anyone - I do without permission.

People care too much what others think
People are starving of social approval.

I think one of the blessing of life is to move through it on your own accord - just don't harm others along your way.

It has been a long time since I have taken my camera out to post cityscape photographs.
Last night I had the pleasure to meet fellow travel photographer David Lee.

This is a 5-shot vertical panorama of Brisbane's Skyline taken from Southbank. It was taken at the perfect moment of transition from civil twilight to astronomical Twilight - My sweet moment where the glow of the city lights blend seamlessly with the darkening sky.

Besides being able to dust off my camera and run its batteries on a refresh cycle - Something that you must do if you haven't used your batteries for months.

I realised:

- In order to reach our dreams, we must connect with aligned people who are after similar things with you in life. The path to your dreams is paved with barriers, friction and obstacles.

- You rarely can make it to you destination on your own.

- Build your community - Go forth together.
