One of my favorite parts of this birthday month has been reading your comments!!! Some reminded me that we have so much more in common than we realize, it's easy to look around and think everyone else has it figured out.

But if this year has taught me that every woman is carrying something, and every woman deserves a place where she doesn't have to pretend. That's what my studio feels like, sure it's a place to take beautiful pictures but it's also a place where you can exhale, where you don't have to earn your worth, and where you're celebrated exactly as you are.

Thank you for making this birthday month amazing so far, I wouldn't want to celebrate with anyone else.

Birthday Reflection:

The strongest women I know rarely call themselves strong and the kindest women usually think they're "just doing what anyone would do." Women who have overcome incredible things often tell me, "It wasn't that big of a deal." but it is!!!

Women share their stories with me, stories of survival, healing, starting over, choosing themselves for the very first time, and those stories have changed me.

They've reminded me that we never really know what someone has carried.
