Still out of the office for a few more days celebrating life with husband. Enjoy this picture from my 25th birthday almost 13 years ago.
I look at this picture and my first thought used to be, oh dang I looked so skinny and young there. And I was.
But what you don't see is that I was actually really sick and that's why I lost all that weight.
I was so sick my body almost started shutting down, (not this day but a few weeks after).
I look at this picture and I don't think about how skinny I was or how I don't have any wrinkles, but I think about how amazing it is to be able to spend the last 13 years with my husband, and also DAANGG I age good.
Anyways the point is, we can't compare ourselves to an old version of ourselves, and also, a picture can be so misleading (like on social media) so we can't let that effect how we feel about ourselves.
Like me feeling bad that I have wrinkles now, weigh more, and my eyebrows are still that skinny, (bahaha) that is not going to help me today, so instead I choose to focus on the good things.
It's that mindset shift, and when we do that, our whole world change!!
