Paw Alert! πŸƒπŸ»

The picture was taken during the Summer at Great Smoky Mountains National Park, TN. This was my first wildlife trip trying to capture a black bear in an American National Park. About my endeavour here I wanted to word the story attached to this picture.

During the memorial day weekend me and my partner was hiking through the Caden Cove loop with our cameras with high hopes of seeing a bear. Close to the first bypass road the rangers notified us that there is a female bear roaming around might be quite violent as she recently had cubs. In less than 10 minutes we could see her running around munching on the secateurs. With a hightened energy and excitement I immediately sat on the ground started capturing the bear. But my partner was not in a big hurry and obviously was a better bear spotter than I was told me the cubs should be very much close by the mother and for sure should be hiding and playing in the trees. Unlike in other habitats I’ve seen before, the woods here were pretty dense, trees were quite tall and I didn’t have much faith in seeing a cub. Luckily I was wrong. My partner spotted the cubs in the next couple of minutes and started moving. Like he just had mentioned cubs actually were playing on the tree trunks. Their speed of climbing up those tall trees were truly remarkable. It was rather difficult to capture and my speed in wild animal photography was aggressively tested that day. From the few good pictures I could manage to capture I particularly enjoyed this one. By the end of the trip we spotted 18 bears including 2 sets of cubs. I am super excited to edit and share more during the holidays ! πŸƒ

Can you imagine one of those caught in a snare? I don’t think we even should. Shame on poachers and people who encourage bush meat cuisines. SL got no open season!

"My love and passion for the wild elephants in Sri Lanka runs deep within my veins, as deep as my love for photography."

Big males known as β€œtuskers” are a sight to behold in the wild. When he steps out of the forest canopy and into the sunlight, he strides along the plains like a colossus exuding absolute confidence and dominance over all before him. The female elephants rumble and trumpet in excitement, and the other males move away in fear. The tusker truly is the king of the Sri Lankan wilderness.

And this tusker "Sumedha" to be specific has his own monarchy in the wild. He thrives in a long stretch of land along the north-central to northwestern and eastern provinces. In a limited time frame like this once a year we tourists get to witness his charms amongst large herds of elephants in Minneriya, Kaudulla, and Hurulu Eco parks. Not to mention the Habarana suburbs to Kalawewa that he roams his path throughout the year. He is a large tusker and grown male who sure is a father to many young elephants. He also is a valuable and rare animal that deserves to be protected at all costs.

Evenings you quiet!

The most enchanting creature captured in the most enchanting hour of the day. In other words golden creatures in golden light. It's a shame having to leave them to rest at the last minute yet these sights are pretty glamorous and lucky as hell.

Infants can be too delicate to put a caption on. So is this baby Bear Monkey!

It was captured in Horton Plains National Park, the most enchanting wildlife escape in the central hills of Sri Lanka where it is also a habitat to a number of endemic and endangered species of flora and fauna. The bear monkeys are indeed a part of this rare treasure that can only be found in Horton Plains. It is now a great place of attraction to many tourists as the one amazing cloud forest it is. While enjoying the misty marvels of nature in there do not miss to see these adorable intelligent creatures too.

Wishes for 2024 with this young majesty!

Creatures on Earth can be highly dynamic and unpredictable. And this creature itself is unpredictable to death if it's said enough precisely. However, they are a subject of severe endanger apart from complexity and curiosity. Therefore, may this year be filled with their wellbeing!
