Que up… it’s a small world, because it truly is! 🌊 We met this beautiful senior and her family last year in my hometown of Pemaquid, Maine. We quickly discovered that they live in Phoenix, and had just bought a home in Pemaquid. Then we learned that our daughters actually swim against each other during Arizona’s Division I high school swim season! 🏊♀️
Fast-forward to this year, and what started as a small-world connection has blossomed into a friendship. ✨
It was such an honor to photograph Mads on our beautiful Pemaquid Beach. She’s heading into her senior year at Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix, Arizona, and she has an incredible vision for her future — one centered around saving lives and protecting our country through aquatic search and rescue. She’ll be applying to the United States Naval Academy, and I have no doubt she has big things ahead of her.
Maddy is pretty remarkable. 🇺🇸🌊 and so is her best friend, Sarah! We love that she was willing to jump in for a couple photos.
Sometimes the best connections happen in the most unexpected places… and remind us just how wonderfully small this world really is. 💙
