Out of Alaska and into the Yukon, but you know what impressed me right before the border was the Alaska sign!

Not because of its location but because it was completely void of stickers on the front.

I might be an outlier here but I don’t want to see a thousand stickers covering a place name with your lame AI generated ‘been there, doing that’ image…take this as a educational point.

How about putting your self adhesive graffiti out of sight…we’ve all got opinions and that’s mine, what’s yours?

Salmon Glacier is a unique proposition. In the the town of Stewart BC you’re in Canada. You have to leave to go into the US at the border where there are no US border guards, but once you’re in the US you’ll ride back into Canada to see the glacier without crossing through immigration, sound confusing, look at a map to make it make sense!

The Canadian border guard said we wouldn’t get too far up the road because it hadn’t been plowed yet.

We tried anyway and the plow was out and running, except it was a dozer.

We met him about 500m before the viewpoint and he was done for the day. So, we can safely say we go further up mountain than any other bikers so far this year.

Last time I was up here I had a face to face with a 1200lb grizzly, this time luckily just a cut out at the campground in town.
