There’s nothing I hate carrying more on trips than a tripod. Twelve days in Kenya, five camps, a handful of tiny bush planes with strict weight limits, but this is the one that came with me the whole way.

The PGYTECH Zipod weighs 1.3 kg and folds down to about 17 inches. The legs pull out and lock in seconds, and the camera clicks right onto the plate. It fit in the side of my backpack on every flight, and I never once felt like I was lugging it around.

Easily my new go-to travel tripod 🤘🏼

Spent a few days camping under the stars with my best friend as we explored the central coast 🐕 Being able to take your dog anywhere under the cosmos is the absolute best, but that only happens with the right tires to get you there.

The roads out here were very rough, but with the Kumho Tire USA Road Venture AT52s, I don’t have to worry about which road we take. Just that the window’s down and Atlas is happy.

There’s a reason they call it colorful Colorado 👀

My favorite trips of the year generally revolve around golden aspens, golden retrievers, and still lake reflections. I missed it all this year for Africa (no complaints), but these memories live rent free in my head year round.

3 years with my best friend 🐕 There’s something special about the bond with a dog, and you don’t really get it until you have one.

I didn’t know how much was missing until he showed up. Atlas makes home feel like home and the road feel less lonely. He makes every bad day lighter and every ordinary morning and arrival home something I really look forward to.

He’s taught me to slow down, to be present, and that the best part of any trip is who’s in the passenger seat.

Happy 3rd birthday, good boy. Thank you for making my life better every single day. Atlas
