Mornings well spent just above the San Francisco gloom 🌁 Capturing the elusive low fog isn’t easy, but it’s so rewarding when you catch it. Whenever I get to witness it like this I always think how people driving into the city can be having a totally different experience (cold and foggy) and just above it is a beautiful sunny day. Have you guys witnessed this in person yet?

And when you’ve got one of the best road trip vehicles out there, the Santa Fe XRT, the rough stuff is exactly what it’s built for.

If you were to ask me what my favorite subject to capture is these days, it’s this right here. Small, beautiful moments of time well spent with my family. That’s what I’m going to be more interested in looking back on one day than the “insane photo” I captured in Japan, Egypt, or wherever. Ive had this 16-28mm f2.8 DG DN basically glued to my ZV-E1 so I’m always ready to capture this feeling. I’ve been leaning more towards compression with my images lately, but when it comes to video, I’ve been obsessed with shooting everything wide. I feel like it just captures a scene so well. Having a small portable set up that this lens gives me, I can bring this combo anywhere and get shots I’ll be looking back on proudly one day.

This quote hits me hard every time I hear it. A great reminder to take stock of where you are at in life, how far you’ve come, what’s currently making you happy, and what you should be more grateful for. This was one of those moments where I wish I had done that, because I look back and remember just how perfect this life all was. I wish I could sit in this moment forever.
