At our core - Codee and I believe that marriage is living life with your best friend. Getting to adventure with the love of your life from courthouse weddings and big weddings to elopements. We take our van all around central and western USA doing couples sessions in New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Washington, California, Colorado, and Texas. What we love most about working with couples all over the US, is finding the perfect location for them, mainly because we have already found the hidden gems since we live in our van! We are here to give you the best experience out there- let us take you paddle boarding, playing in the ocean, fire pit on the beach with smores as celebration. World Su***de Awareness as well as the anniversary of 9/11 fall on this weekend, and we would like to extend our love and thoughts to all of you how may be grieving a loved one at this time.

We know why you pick us as your photographers due to our known abilities to capture real, raw emotions so we want to say thank you for opening up your doors and hearts by giving us the opportunity to meet those closest to your heart. Grief is incredibly strong, but not as strong as the love we saw all of you have for your family and friends.

Our hearts go out to you who are reliving pain. Their stories are not over🤍

I am dying to go back to Yosemite National Park. It has some of the most beautiful views that I have ever seen. You probably can picture exactly which spots I am talking about too, Taft Point and Glacier point are some of the most popular elopement locations in the US. And for good reason. The scenery is truly AMAZING!

That being said, I think often the Instagram vs. Reality of these locations can have a huge impact on your day. For example, the last time I shot an elopement at Taft point guess how many other couples were there doing the same thing? I counted NINE other couples! This doesn't even begin to cover the amount of regular park visitors were there enjoying their visit…

If one of the main reasons that you want to elope is to keep things simple, intimate and "just the two of you" the reality of the popularity of these places is an important factor to keep in mind.

One of the main advantages to hiring us as your elopement photographers is that we provide customized location scouting for all our couples. So if you are wanting to elope in Yosemite and get those incredible views of the valley but without all the people hit us up! We would love to show you all our favorite spots with amazing views AND a bit more privacy 🤍

So, you want to elope but aren’t an avid hiker?

Well you are in luck because that’s totally okay, my friend! 80% of lovers who elope with us hike less than 1 mile. There are so many great places all across the PNW that are easily accessible to a wide range of ability and comfort levels. Want to wake up at 3 am for a 4 mile hike to a secluded lookout? I’ve got you. Want to sleep in and have an easy elopement location? There are tons places where can park your car, hop out, and be at an incredible view point.

The PNW is full of beautiful places, some accessible by paved path, some by strenuous hike, and everything in between. Not to mention all of the incredible Airbnb’s that you could host your elopement at if you don’t want to hike at all! (Like, don't even get me started about how intimate and romantic those Oregon and Washington Airbnb elopements can be...)

You deserve to have an intentionally intimate wedding the way you've been dreaming of it, so if the fear of having to hike on your wedding day is the only thing keeping you from having and incredible and intimate wedding experience, then reach out.

We are heading on a new journey soon and exploring somewhere brand new…

We’re traveling to Iceland in October 🤍✈️

We absolutely cannot wait for this trip and to capture our couples elopement in a place full of so much magic…

However, our couple wasn’t interested in Iceland at first, they actually had their eyes set on Colorado. That was until our call with them were we talked about what they envisioned on their elopement day. We love these moments in our calls with our clients, their eyes get big with wonder and amazement at all the possibilities of what their wedding could actually look and feel like.

We ended up chatting some more and learned that they were having their honeymoon in Iceland. After some math, we realized it would be significantly cheaper to elope in Iceland, rather than for them to elope in Colorado and then honeymoon in Iceland. In no time we found the perfect place for them to say “I do” amongst the volcanoes and hot springs of Iceland…

That’s what happens when you work with photographers with 16 years of experience that deeply value your story and care about the experience you have on your adventure elopement: you’re left with a world of possibility.

It's been about a month since summer officially started and we feel so alive...

The start of our summer has been full of that child-like love we all remember... the giddiness and electricty that comes with being happy, joyous and so in love. With smiles so wide and laughs so genuine that it's nearly impossible to keep all your admiration contained.

It's on those summer nights where it's just us, you two and your love, all being captured on camera. The love and devotion our couples had for each other filled the air and has been surrounding us ever since. From traveling to new places, to the comfort of your bed, capturing your love as authentically as you two are together has lit our hearts on fire...

🌅 Should I Elope at Sunrise or Sunset 🌄

One of the biggest parts of planning your elopement, besides choosing a location is building out a timeline. While we do have an extensive questionnaire that helps with a lot of timeline planning, a big decision that you have to make is: Would you rather elope at sunrise or sunset? There are many pros and cons to both and ultimately it comes down to what the two of you prefer and feel is authentic to you...

Perhaps you are perpetual night owls and can’t imagine your elopement day starting any earlier than 10am! Then you might want to wake up late and make breakfast together before heading to your elopement destination and sharing your vows as the sun sets behind you.

On the other hand maybe you want to elope somewhere that is pretty high traffic. Then you might decide to wake up way before sunrise so that you can have a little more privacy to say your vows and share a cup of coffee as the sun rises.

Sometimes if you have your heart set on a certain spot there might be a better time to see it. The sun might rise on the total opposite side as the mountain you were hoping to see, but it turns out its the perfect sunrise view.

5) Find an elopement photographer

By now, if you know that you are eloping. its an excellent idea to reach out to your favorite elopement photographer once you know a date or time of year. As an elopement photographer its our job to be able to help you iron out the rest of the details that you might not be so sure about.

We know what roads are open at what time of year, and what locations might be best for sunrise or sunset. We know the best seaons for each location and the best trails to take based off how much adventure you two are looking for. We have tons of options for great places to stay, how to get your wedding permit, other vendors to hire and SO much more.
