I’m saddened to say I did not finish my goal this week and had to cut my hiking trip short to a mere 4 days from the cause of severe weather and an un-inflatable sleeping pad. But out of all this, I can say that I am still proud of myself for have being able to do this hike. And I’m really proud I could accomplish 40 miles in the 4 days I was out there. The trip was great of course and I plan on finishing the Foothills Trail soon.

Well today is the day. Going on a little solo 77mi hike in S. Carolina this morning. This hiking trip will be close to 8 days. I have been looking forward to this trip for a while. But now that it is here, I’m so nervous. I will try to keep everyone updated on the events that happen along the way. Hope everyone has a good day.

Before this trip, I was unsure if I even wanted to visit a desert. But once I got there I was amazed at how beautiful and completely different it was from anything I have ever seen. Yes, it’s BLISTERING HOT. Yes, you get burnt within MINUTES. And YES, it will make you dehydrated for a few days after. But if someone asked me if it were worth it, and I would say a firm YES. Go visit this place if you have a chance!

🏔🔭 • This is one of my favorite views in the park. I could sit here all day and just gaze at carvings on these slopes. They’re are marvelous. What is your favorite spot in the GSNP?
