Yosemite National Park Elopement Evenings Wrapped in Golden Light

There’s something about a Yosemite National Park elopement that makes everything feel grounded. The scale of the mountains, the quiet of the valley, and the way the light moves across the granite create a sense of calm you don’t find just anywhere.

If you’re considering a Yosemite National Park elopement, here are a few helpful notes:
• A permit is required, but the process is simple
• The park has designated ceremony locations to choose from
• Glacier Point, Taft Point, and valley meadows are popular options
• Early mornings and evenings offer the most peaceful experience
• Your elopement photographer (like me!) can help you navigate it all

A Yosemite National Park elopement gives you the space to slow down, take it all in, and build a day that feels intentional from start to finish.

Meet the team behind Sarah Bieber Photo.

This van, my cat, and the red rocks of Southern Utah have been a pretty big part of this journey. What started as a cross country road trip and eventually exploring the Southwest desert turned into photographing couples in some of the most incredible places I’ve ever seen.

Living on the road taught me how to find the quiet corners of places like this, the hidden trails, the overlooks that feel like they belong just to you.

Today, things are looking a little different than they used to. While now we’re based in the Pacific Northwest and have 4 walls and a dishwasher to come home to, the van and this time in our lives are still a pivotal part of what makes up Sarah Bieber Photo.

As always, thank you for following along and supporting me doing the literal coolest job in the world. (Nugget thanks you, too!)

A Glacier National Park Elopement for Couples Who Love Wild Places

A Glacier National Park elopement is perfect for couples who want their wedding day to feel like an adventure. Picture exchanging vows beside a glacial lake, driving winding alpine roads, and watching the light hit the mountains as the day unfolds.

A few helpful things to know when planning a Glacier National Park elopement:
• The park requires a simple special use permit for ceremonies
• Many couples choose sunrise for fewer crowds and dreamy light
• Summer brings wildflowers and accessible alpine viewpoints (and large crowds of people)
• Scenic drives and short hikes make it easy to explore multiple locations

The magic of a Glacier National Park elopement is that your wedding day becomes more than a ceremony… it becomes a full day of exploring one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country together.

Elopement Day Activities That Turn Your Wedding Into an Adventure

Elopement day activities are what transform your wedding day from a timeline into an experience. This is your chance to slow down, dream big, and build a day around the things you have always wanted to do together. Instead of rushing from place to place, you get to actually live inside the moments that matter.

Some of my favorite elopement day activities to weave into a wedding day:

• ATVing through your elopement location
• Horseback riding at sunrise or sunset
• A picnic while watching the sun dip below the horizon
• A slow hike to soak it all in
• Floating down a river
• A helicopter ride to somewhere remote
• A hot air balloon ride at sunrise
• Soaking in a natural hot spring
• Stargazing after dark
• Skiing or snowboarding followed by hot chocolate at the lodge

Planning a Hot Air Balloon Elopement? Here’s What to Know ⭐️

A hot air balloon elopement offers a completely unique way to exchange vows, especially for couples who love adventure and unforgettable views. From sunrise light to panoramic landscapes, it is one of the most visually stunning ceremony options out there.

If you are considering a hot air balloon elopement, here are a few practical tips:

• Book with a licensed and experienced balloon operator
• Build flexibility into your timeline for weather delays
• Plan hair and makeup with wind in mind
• Add ground portraits before or after the flight

A hot air balloon elopement is perfect for couples who want their wedding day to feel experiential rather than traditional.

If that sounds like you, reach out and I would love to help you plan and photograph your dream day from the sky. 🎈

A Fall Central Park Elopement in the Heart of New York City

Every central park elopement tells a different version of the city’s love story. For Suzy and George, it began with a first look outside their apartment, framed by charming architecture and that unmistakable Manhattan light.

Their central park elopement carried us through iconic paths and tucked-away corners before their vows at Cop Cot, surrounded by greenery that felt worlds away from the skyline. It was effortless, romantic, and proof that you do not need a ballroom to create something unforgettable in New York.

Most people picture the desert as dry, dusty, and brown.

But if you’re planning a Southwest elopement, spring might completely surprise you. Prickly pear cactus bloom in bright pinks and yellows, wildflowers pop up out of nowhere, and the desert feels alive in a way most people don’t expect.

Every season out here has its pros and cons:
• Spring: flowers + mild temps, but busier trails
• Summer: epic sunsets + monsoon skies, but serious heat and crowds
• Fall: warm tones + fewer crowds, still toasty afternoons
• Winter: soft light + cooler hiking weather, but unpredictable wind

If you’re dreaming of eloping in the Southwest, don’t sleep on spring. The desert knows how to show off.

Some of the best moments on your elopement day aren’t planned.

They happen when you pause. When you stop moving. When you realize there’s nowhere else you need to be except right here, together.

Maybe it’s cuddling as the sun disappears below the horizon. Or taking a slow walk along the Acadia coastline with your four dogs, breathing in the salt air before your ceremony begins.

Your Acadia National Park elopement doesn’t have to be rushed to be meaningful. Some of the most beautiful memories live in the quiet in-between moments.

A Utah Elopement with Red Rocks and Rich Tradition

This Utah elopement was bold, colorful, and deeply personal. V + H wrapped in intricate Indian wedding garments, standing in the quiet stillness of the red rocks with nothing but desert air and serene water around them. It felt sacred without needing an audience.

What makes a Utah elopement so powerful is the freedom it gives you. Freedom to show up fully as yourselves, blend cultures, break expectations, and build a wedding day that reflects your real love story instead of a template.

If you have been searching for a Utah elopement that feels inclusive, adventurous, and meaningful, this is what that can look like.

Iceland Waterfall Wedding: What to Know Before You Say Your Vows

If you have been dreaming of an Iceland waterfall wedding, you are not alone. Those towering cascades surrounded by mossy cliffs and misty air are iconic for a reason, and they make for incredibly intimate vow exchange locations. From famous waterfalls like Skógafoss to quieter spots tucked off the main road, Iceland offers endless options depending on the experience you want.

When planning an Iceland waterfall wedding, timing and crowds matter more than the season itself. Waterfalls flow year round thanks to glacial melt and rainfall, but summer months bring heavier tourism. Early mornings, shoulder seasons, and choosing lesser known locations can make all the difference if privacy is important to you.

Helpful planning tips:

• Expect crowds at popular waterfalls during June through August
• Sunrise or sunset ceremonies offer more privacy
• Many waterfall locations do not require permits, but rules vary
• Symbolic ceremonies are often easier than legal ones in Iceland
• Safety and Leave No Trace practices are essential near water and cliffs
• Book a photographer that knows Iceland well for the best location recommendations

Are you ready to start planning your Iceland waterfall wedding??? Let me help you!
