Not much at all in Etna, California we discovered as we drove the scenic backroads to it last Friday past cattle ranches. But, that's exactly the kind of places we love. We have heard of Etna Brewing, sampled some of it's beer before and knew we wanted to learn more about it all.
🍺 Etna Brewing Company in Northern California dates back to 1872, making it one of the oldest operating brewery lineages on the West Coast.
🍺 Etna Brewing Company is open Thursday through Monday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM and has delicious food.
🍔 We tried the street tacos, pretzel bites in Jalapeño cheese dip and the greatest Jalapeño bacon jam burger we can't stop talking about.
🚗Etna is about 36 minute drive from Yreka or a 1 hour 20 minute drive from Mount Shasta.

We definitely will be back again.

Almost 4 months apart the change in scenery is significantly bland. The warm weather and constant release of water from the dam is making the area not so much vibrant. Everyday the water level at the lake drops a foot or more.

This is the fun zone that floats on the water where we work camp. We have been busy at our work camping location for 3 months and still have not found time to try this obstacle course out. We did take the new peddle boat out for a spin and took some up close photos of this fun zone from our peddle boat. At our age this looks like alot of work. Hey, why do we need a gym membership when we got this to tackle. Right?

Last Sunday was crazy once again with people having so much garbage they leave behind. Now, it's not just normal garbage...

Last Sunday was crazy once again with people having so much garbage they leave behind. Now, it's not just normal garbage that would be fine. Our garbages had a 42 inch TV in it, big boxes like the kind that Costco puts your groceries in, a nightstand, a new blue charcoal BBQ from Walmart, numerous tents and poles most all in good condition, a bed comforter, numerios folding camping chairs and lots of personal floating devices and a pop up shade cover for the lake and much more. Crazy! This week 10,000 people are expected to arrive to our campground for camping, a concert, swimming, boating and fireworks. Oh yah and one guy who put his sewer hose in a non sewage receiving location on a electrical only site. 💩 😞
